2021 has started and, here at Woman to Woman, we want to make sure we give you the tools to achieve calm – even if the world resembles 2020 lite. In the United Kingdom, we are in our third lockdown, and it’s taking its toll on us all mentally. And so, from us to you, here are some tips to handle this time: You are not alone girl!
In the morning, take some time for yourself; leave your phone on the side, meditate for 10 minutes, stretch for 5 minutes, write 3 reasons you are grateful for today and move your beautiful body to your favourite song.
After this, we want you to look at your gorgeous self in the mirror and repeat any or all of these 10 affirmations:
1. I choose calm over worry, and faith over fear
2. I focus on what I can control, instead of what I cannot
3. I remain calm and trust all is well
4. I protect my peace by spending less time on social media
5. I am healthy and radiate good health
6. I take necessary precautions and release the need to worry
7. I am thankful for every day I wake up
8. When anxious thoughts come to me, I acknowledge them, then let them go
9. I am intelligent, beautiful, successful, confident and enough
10. I am doing my best everyday
Even if we are not in control, everything is possible. Find joy in the little things. We made it through 2020, and we will get through this together.
